Meet our new Tutoring Coordinator – Suzana!

🎉 We are thrilled to announce a new and amazing volunteer who joined our community this past summer! Meet Suzana, she has stepped into the role of Tutor Coordinator for our Literacy and Math programs at GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego. 📚✏️

As you can see in the picture, we caught Suzana in action training new volunteers to become virtual and in-person tutors! 🌟

To help the GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego community get to know Suzana a little better we asked her a few questions so you can learn about her!

1. How did you hear about GiGi’s Playhouse/GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego?
I have a profile on the Volunteer Match website, and I was thrilled when they matched me with GiGi’s volunteering opportunity. The support I’ve received from GiGi’s administration has been incredible, making my experience even more rewarding.

2. What inspired you to volunteer?
I chose to volunteer to give back to the community, connect with kids, and help families in need.

3. What is your favorite thing about GiGi’s Playhouse?
My favorite part about GiGi’s is definitely the people. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, and it’s clear that they genuinely love what they’re doing. This positive atmosphere has made my time volunteering truly enjoyable.

Suzana is not only our Literacy and Math Tutor Coordinator, but she also wanted to make a more personal impact by working 1-on-1 with our participants. She has taken on the roles of virtual literacy tutor and in-person math tutor to support our amazing community! 💖🙌
