GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego Awarded the Prestigious Femtor Grant from the eWomen Foundation
We are thrilled to announce that GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego has been honored with the Femtor Grant from the eWomen Foundation! This prestigious award highlights our commitment to providing essential Down syndrome resources and underscores the impact of our programs within the San Diego community.
The eWomen Foundation, an extension of eWomenNetwork, is dedicated to supporting nonprofits that improve the emotional and financial well-being of women and children. With a mission to help women achieve significant business milestones, eWomenNetwork is a leading business community for women entrepreneurs, with 500,000 members across North America, Australia, and the UK. Each year, the foundation provides valuable cash grants and resources to deserving organizations, and we are incredibly grateful to be among the 13 nonprofits selected this year.
Board Member and Fundraising Chair Laura Bellizzi traveled to Texas to accept the award at the eWomen ICON conference, the premier annual event for women entrepreneurs in North America. This recognition not only includes $6,000 in funding but also grants the GiGi’s Playhouse team to a one-year membership to eWomenNetwork. This membership will connect us with a vast network of women entrepreneurs, offering valuable resources such as mentorship and coaching that will further enhance our ability to support individuals with Down syndrome.
The Femtor Grant will significantly aid in the continuation and expansion of our educational, therapeutic, and career development programs. Support through grants, sponsorships and donors allow us to enhance our efforts in providing vital FREE Down syndrome resources and ensures that our programs continue to thrive for the San Diego Down syndrome community.
