“Cass Treat Cares” a Successful Day in Support of GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego
“Cass TREAT Cares”, a one-day event organized by volunteers of GiGi’s Playhouse San Diego, a Down Syndrome Achievement Center dedicated to making the world a more accepting place for individuals of all abilities, was hugely successful in raising awareness for GiGi’s Playhouse and local Pacific Beach businesses.
Over 200 ghosts and goblins descended up on Cass St. on Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 10am to noon, to collect treats from more than 40 Cass St. businesses and local Pacific Beach merchants.
The day was kicked-off by a visit to the Playhouse by San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria who mingled with participants and enjoyed a performance by Playhouse member Clark Gurley. There were other activities, including face-painting, roulette spins for stuffed animals, and a raffle of items donated by participating businesses.
Thank you to all the families, volunteers and merchants who participated, each of you made this event a special one. We hope to see you next year!
