Love Our Team – Elizabeth, Isabella, and Diana

Earlier in this Love Our Team series we highlighted 3 interns from St Ambrose. We also have 3 interns from Augustana this spring!

Please meet Elizabeth, Isabella, and Diana! We asked each of them to complete an interview to tell us a bit about themselves and what they are looking forward to here at GiGi’s.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth is assisting with a variety of roles while here this spring. She is tutoring, assisting with our Destination Discovery program, and helping plan our World Down Syndrome Day celebration!

Elizabeth has just begun her journey as an intern here at the Playhouse but she had this to say about her experience so far: “I have only been here for two weeks yet I have been so touched by everyone I have met. Everyone at GiGi’s is so welcoming and kind and I am just so happy to be here. It is truly a place like no other and I am so excited to continue this semester. It is such a welcoming and inclusive place and I love it already”

Elizabeth is looking forward to being a math tutor and getting involved in the programs at GiGi’s! “They all seem so amazing and fun and I cannot wait to be a part of them! My goal is to make a positive impact on everyone and get to help with tutoring math and other activities! Everyone else has already made such a positive impact on me so I want to give that back to them.”

When asked why she became involved with GiGi’s, she said “I am involved because I have wanted to participate in GiGi’s Playhouse for so long. It amazes me everything that GiGi’s does for the community and I am so grateful that I get to be a part of it!”

A fun fact about Elizabeth:

“I LOVE to try new restaurants (especially since I did not grow up in the Quad Cities)!!! I have loved trying all of the new places here and I am always open to recommendations. :)”
