Welcome to the Board, Maddie!

Please help us welcome our newest board member to the team here at GiGI’s. Many of you may recognize her. She has been part of GiGI’s since April 2022, when she first interned for us. Since then, she has continued to volunteer at events and programs. She recently interned again as an Occupational Therapy Intern to complete her capstone project, which was focused on recreational activities for individuals with Down syndrome.

Hi! My name is Maddie, and I currently live in Bettendorf with my partner and our dog, Vader. I’m a recent graduate of St. Ambrose University, where I graduated as a Doctor of Occupational Therapy in May 2025. Upon completion of my board exams, I will begin working as an outpatient occupational therapist at MercyOne Genesis Silvis Medical Center in Silvis, IL. I started volunteering at GiGi’s Playhouse in 2022. Since then, I have completed two internships at GiGi’s and have led a variety of programs. Becoming a board member was the perfect opportunity for me to become more involved with GiGi’s and the Quad Cities’ community. I’m very excited to be starting this new journey at GiGi’s!

If you or someone you know may be interested in joining our board, please contact a member of our team to learn more! YOU can be part of making GIGI’s Playhouse the best it can be and impact the lives of local individuals with Down syndrome!

We are looking for:

  • Business Owners
  • Fundraising/Finance Professionals
  • Educators
  • Event Coordinators
  • Medical Professionals
