Meet 9 Rockstars!

This blog is a celebration of 9 rockstars that recently completed the GiGi Prep & Achievers programs.

It has been a great 6 weeks for these adult participants. The program has been meeting twice a week for 4 hours each day and it’s been a BLAST!

A little about the programs:

GiGi PREP is the career path adult education program, and Achievers is the non-career adult education program.  Both programs include fitness, nutrition and cooking, so we were able to combine for these lessons.

Other lessons included communication, money, independent living skills and self-advocacy.  Favorites were learning some independent leisure skills, including: fleece tying projects, watercolor painting, drawing, and taking better photos with your phone.

A little about the participants and leaders:

The group of 9, as well as the 4 leaders, have become good friends and look forward to another session of these programs.

#bestofall This amazing group of participants always came in ready to see each other, willing to participate in the activity planned for the day, and enjoyed preparing their meals and conversations with friends. The routine of signing in, getting their name tag, and finding a seat was evident within the first 2 weeks. They took ownership of this program and their lessons! We are so proud of them.
