Bigger. Better. Stronger Together.

Last week, the GiGi’s Playhouse NYC team joined hundreds of staff, board members, and volunteers from GiGi’s Playhouses around the country (and in Mexico!) in Hoffman Estates, Illinois for a National Conference.  As you can see from the map above, the GiGi’s network is growing rapidly, with 10+ Playhouses emerging and inquiries from hundreds of communities around the country!

With the growth of the Network, the theme of our conference was ”Bigger. Better. Stronger Together”.  How can we support each other, share information, and come together to build the best possible resource for individuals with Down syndrome and their families in our respective communities?

To support our programming, GiGi’s National has hired a Programs Manager- Kenzi, and developed a Therapeutic Excellence Committee.  We saw a preview of some of the amazing resources in development and can’t wait to share the GiGi’s Balance Lines (a simple system for building core strength at home), new programs and curricula, and GiGi’s ”Best of All” Booklets with you!  Best of All is the motto GiGi’s uses to encourage daily growth.  After this conference, it is clear that Best of All also applies to the Playhouse network as we strive everyday to grow and improve!

We were also treated to an inspiring speech from GiGi’s Playhouse Ambassador, Farzin, who reminded us to be proud of who we are and keep rising to our dreams!
