Wisconsin is home to many wonderful things such as Summerfest, cheese, brats and the great outdoors. Wisconsin is also home to two GiGi’s Playhouses, the Madison location and the Milwaukee location. Here at Milwaukee we LOVE to share up lifting news and heartfelt stories with you, our readers.

Sticking with the theme of our beloved Wisconsin we would like to share with you a few heartwarming stories from around our state. To start off we would like to talk about this amazing company out of Hudson, WI called Plantables.

Plantables is a company that makes high quality seed-embedded products from sustainable materials. They Raise awareness for Honey bees and how our earth needs pollination. The reason we wanted to tell you about Plantables is because they hire individuals with all abilities. They use adaptive equipment and assistive communication devices use to involve all workers.

It’s amazing to see these individuals strive. Our next story is about a young woman out of Watertown, WI who loves Dogs so much that she enterprises her own Dog treat company called Gracie’s Doggie Delights. Gracie is a young woman with Down syndrome who loves not only her three rescue dogs but all dogs. So much so that she has created dog treats to sell. These treats are made with Freeze Dried USDA inspected meat. They are great for your four legged friends.

Our Final story to share with you is about a young man who got to be a Wisconsin Badger for the day! This story is from the summer of 2016 but it is too cute not to share. Over the summer The Badgers Men’s Football team did something special for individuals with Down syndrome. These individuals got be a part of the team for the day, running drills, working out and practicing with the team at Camp Randell in Madison, WI.

Opportunities such as these three amazing stories are only a small amount of the many things Wisconsin has to offer. Wisconsin is a great place to live and raise your children. Acceptance and Inclusion are what we strive for. I know Plantables, Gracie’s Doggie Delights and The Wisconsin Badgers do as well.
