#GivingTuesday; Donate to make our programs accessible to everyone!

GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee is participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving.

GiGi’s Playhouse is the ONLY nationwide network of Down syndrome achievement centers; changing lives through free, results-driven programs for individuals of all ages, families and communities. GiGi’s Playhouse is an inspirational and dedicated place for families to celebrate their child and empower children and adults to achieve their “Best of All” and to pursue their dreams.

With over 450,000 individuals with Down syndrome living in the US today; and counting affected parents and siblings, over 2 million people face the diagnosis every single day. 1 in 691 live births results in a Down syndrome diagnosis. Thus, improving the lives of those WITH Down syndrome as well as those INFLUENCED by Down syndrome is an urgent need. Individuals with Down syndrome “have” Down syndrome every day of their lives. They get no breaks and no days off.

In donating you are helping individuals with Down syndrome, their families and our community. Together, we can address our larger vision of global acceptance for people of all abilities.

We invite you to join the movement and to help get out and give this November 28. Some ideas include:

  • Help spread the word about Down syndrome support in Milwaukee by sharing GiGi’s Playhouse emails and social media posts. We are on Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Pinterest and Instagram-check out the links below.
  • Use the hashtag #GiGisPlayhouseMKE to talk about why you support GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee

GiGi’s Playhouse makes a lifelong commitment to individuals with Down syndrome and their families by offering purposeful programs rooted in continuous improvement and high expectations. Signature program categories include therapeutic, educational and career training, all of which deliver social and communication benefits too.

There are many more ways to get involved. We encourage you to contact GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee and learn more about how you can make a difference in the lives of children and adults with Down syndrome.

Thank you,
Sarah Koehn, President, GiGi’s Playhouse Milwaukee
