At GiGi’s Playhouse Madison, we advocate and ask for community support because our mission is life-changing. Every dollar raised goes directly to sustaining our free, purposeful programs—programs that are free for families but not free to run. With more families than ever depending on our services, our reach is growing, and so is the need for financial and volunteer support. The disability community faces unique challenges, and now more than ever, we must elevate our voices and ensure that individuals with Down syndrome have the resources, opportunities, and support they deserve. Every donation, every volunteer hour, and every shared story plays a role in creating a world where individuals with Down syndrome are fully included and celebrated.

Supporting the Down syndrome community isn’t just about funding programs—it’s about recognizing the immense value individuals with Down syndrome bring to the world. They teach us how to be better humans, how to truly show compassion, and how to live by Generation G: being accepting, generous, and kind. When we invest in this community, we invest in a future where everyone is seen, heard, and empowered to thrive.

One of the most impactful ways we advocate for our participants is by offering essential services like our Speech and Language Therapy Program, which helps individuals with Down syndrome develop their communication skills. This free, life-changing program gives participants the tools they need to express themselves and connect with the world. Similarly, our 1:1 Literacy and Math Tutoring program fosters confidence and independence, ensuring that individuals with Down syndrome receive the educational support they need to reach their full potential. These programs are not just about skill development; they are about empowerment, self-expression, and building a foundation for lifelong success.
