Grand Opening

Grand Opening was such a beautiful and exciting day for us; 60 degrees in January, wow! Thank you for being a part of it! We gave tours to hundreds of attendees and welcomed so many new families and faces into our Playhouse.
Nancy and GiGi Gianni signed an entire box of books. Sarah Ludwig, an adult with Down syndrome, played violin for us on stage. Lisa Landis, WJTL radio deejay, kept our program on track and announced each great speaker. Kim King, our board president, gave a speech of our history thanked our supporters over the years, as well as recognizing the Board of Managers. We heard from 5 families about what GiGi's in our community means to them. We then welcomed Nancy Gianni, Chief Belief Officer, and GiGi Gianni, global ambassador and self-advocate and they each gave encouraging and motivating speeches to our community. Then, we heard Sandra Garcia, Regional Manager from Harrisburg, read a statement on behalf of Senator Bob Casey. We were blessed to have Senator Scott Martin share from his heart as well with our Lancaster community.
Liz Ackerman from The Northern Lancaster Chamber of Commerce gave us great words of encouragement and led us in our ribbon cutting! Thank you to the news coverage from WPMT Fox43 and WGAL News 8.
