Best of All Blog – Meet Evan!

We are so excited to introduce you to our friend, Evan! In 2022, he began joining us for teen & adult programs at the Playhouse such as Fantastic Friends, SMART, and GiGi’s Kitchen Adult. Everyone at GiGi’s has loved getting to know Evan and something that we have recently learned about him is that he has a love for running! Take a look at these recent race pictures –

We had the pleasure of speaking with Evan’s mother which helped us learn more about the reason behind Evan’s love for racing.

“I’ve been doing 5K’s for a long time, so Evan decided he would like to do one too. His first 5K was probably the Bubble Run 5K when he was around 9 or 10 years old. It’s a family-friendly run/walk through huge machines, so lots of fun. He joined me for a few races each year after that. His most recent race was the Goat Ranch 5K on the Monon Trail. At Evan’s most recent race, it benefited a pet cause, (FACE Low Cost Pet Clinic), so dogs got to do the race with their person. Evan’s a dog person, so he wanted to do it. It was too hot and humid that day for his dog to participate, but we got to see several other dogs.”\

Running for a cause makes the challenge worth it! Here are a few things that Evan wanted us to know –

His favorite part of running? Getting a medal at the finish line!
