Why we run, walk and dash for Down syndrome…

“This is Peter. Peter will be two in September. Peter is crawling everywhere, and gets into everything! He is always smiling and chatting up a storm. Peter loves Sesame Street, swimming and his new baby sister. When Peter was born, we did not know he would be blessed with Down syndrome. He kept that secret to himself! A nurse at the hospital told me about Gigi’s Playhouse. When Peter was 3 months old, we visited the Hoffman Estates location for the first time. As soon as we walked through the door, I felt a sense of relief to know that the people at Gigi’s knew what it was like to be blessed with such a wonderful child. We have learned so much, met so many great people and really don’t know where we would be today without the support of Gigi’s Playhouse.”
