GiGi Professionals In The Community

This past week, Hugs & Mugs  had the incredible opportunity to attend an inclusive craft fair at District 214. It was a day filled with connection, creativity, and community.

We were proud to set up our booth and showcase a variety of merchandise from our store. From handmade items to customer favorites, it was exciting to share what we’ve been working on and see people genuinely connect with our products. The GiGi Professionals took ownership of the experience—greeting customers, handling transactions, and talking about the mission behind Hugs & Mugs. Moments like these highlight not only job skills, but confidence, independence, and pride.

What made the event even more meaningful was the chance to connect with other businesses run by individuals with disabilities. Walking through the fair, we saw so much talent, hard work, and creativity on display. Iit was inspiring to meet other entrepreneurs, learn about their journeys, and support one another.

Events like this remind us why inclusive spaces matter. They create opportunities for individuals of all abilities to be seen, valued, and celebrated—not just for their work, but for who they are. The craft fair wasn’t just about selling products; it was about building relationships, sharing experiences, and being part of a community that lifts each other up.

We left the day feeling proud, inspired, and grateful. Hugs & Mugs is honored to be part of a growing movement that champions inclusion, creativity, and opportunity for all.
