Volunteer Highlight: Grace V.

At GiGi’s Playhouse, we are fortunate to have incredible interns who bring passion, dedication, and fresh perspectives to our programs. Today, we’re excited to spotlight Grace, a college intern from Aurora University who is studying to become a social worker.
Grace has quickly become an important part of our Playhouse community. She helps lead several of our purposeful programs, including GiGiFIT Adult, LMNOP, and GiGi Prep, where she encourages participants to build confidence, develop new skills, and reach their personal goals. She also lends a helping hand in Hugs & Mugs Café, supporting meaningful employment opportunities while creating a welcoming environment for everyone who visits.
Through every program she supports, Grace demonstrates kindness, patience, and a genuine commitment to helping others succeed. Her experience at GiGi’s Playhouse is not only preparing her for a future career in social work, but it is also making a lasting impact on the participants and families she serves today.
” My favorite part of volunteering at GiGi’s is building connections with the participants and them making me laugh. I also love building skills for my future career in social work and being able to work with individuals in different populations, especially those with Down syndrome.”
Thank you, Grace, for sharing your time, talents, and heart with our Playhouse. We are so grateful to have you as part of the GiGi’s family and can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll accomplish in the future!
