First Week of GiGi U!

We have a great group of new students this fall for GiGi U! Our session started August 31st and we had an amazing first week! GiGi U is a progressive learning program for adults, comprised of a 12-week instructional program, followed by an internship with the GiGi’s Playhouse Cafe, Hugs & Mugs. GiGi U is designed to motivate adults with Down syndrome to achieve their highest potential in the real world through goal-development and small group skills instruction, physical fitness and exceptional work opportunities.

Bilal, Louie, Mitchell, Sam, Perla, Emily, Ali, Julie, and Jenny gave it their best of all our first week of GiGi U! The week kicked off with fitness assessments and lessons on safety, self care, and nutrition. We had our first healthy cooking lesson too, making delicious and nutritious chicken wraps. We also had Mr. Damien come in to teach us career skills and all of the students participated in building a bike together. We had a lot of fun and learned a lot in our first week! We believe in all of our students in GiGi U and are so excited to help them achieve their highest potential! #GiGisBelieves #BestOfAll #grateful
