Career Development Spotlight: Catie!

GiGi’s Playhouse provides programs and support for all ages, and some of our ultimate goals are to help individuals with Down syndrome gain motor skills, life skills, and career skills, to name a few. Catie is a graduate of GiGi University and has been working in Hugs and Mugs and learned so many skills. Last year, Catie got a job at McDonald’s in Hoffman Estates and we sat down with her to find out more about what she does!

Catie works four-hour shifts at McDonald’s and she does a lot in that time. She greets customers when they walk in the door, helps them with any questions they may have about the menu, and takes their orders. She also keeps the service area clean and makes sure the dining area always looks top notch!

Catie loves her job and everything she gets to do. She has developed great relationships at work with her coworkers and customers.

In her free time, Catie enjoys swimming, music, and hanging out with her family. Next time you see Catie, let her know what a great job she’s been doing!
