Enter the GiGi’s Virtual Playhouse!

Friday’s sub-zero temperatures closed our Playhouse on Friday and canceled our evening Fantastic Friends program. Our staff worked from home, which got me thinking about how fortunate we are to live in a virtual world where so much is available on a screen and at our fingertips. (Whether we like it or not.)

Think of it — many of us get our news from a handheld device, which is the same place we can go to watch movies, shop and stay connected with friends. We admit that we hate it, but we depend upon it.

We all became keenly aware of the benefits of the virtual world during the pandemic. It allowed us to work remotely and keep in touch with friends and family during quarantine. (Remember how much fun that was?) Fortunately for us, GiGi’s Playhouse was already positioned to offer many of our programs to participants through our Virtual Playhouse and we haven’t slowed down a bit. This past year, we provided 60,000 program hours in 118 different GiGi’s offerings. This represented a 60% growth over 2024 and we’re still growing. We served 11,538 families in all 50 states, 95 countries and six continents!

On Friday, although we were disappointed to cancel our Fantastic Friends program, we were proud to make a post on social media that day to say that we had Virtual Playhouse options available to adults, as well as kids staying home from school. Our lineup included GiGiMOVE, LMNOP, Fantastic Friends, GiGiFIT, and GiGi’s Dance Party.

If you haven’t checked our Virtual Playhouse, you should. And after you do, let us know how much you liked it!
