Boots and Bling: It’s a GiGi’s Thing!

The 2026 GiGi’s Playhouse “Boots and Bling” Gala was an epic night with so many highlights to share, like:

A sold-out event of 431 attendees!

Outfits “blinged-out” in Denim and diamonds, playing to the theme beautifully!

A “I Have a Voice” video that hit all the right notes!

An impressive display of silent and live auction items as far as the eye could see!

A crowd that couldn’t wait to hit the dance floor!

Music by DJ DAS, the best in the state of Iowa!

The vision of GiGi’s Playhouse is to see a world where individuals with Down syndrome are accepted and embraced in their families, schools, and communities. We are all about celebrating Down syndrome and boy, did we ever CELEBRATE it on Saturday evening!

And, to call upon another highlight of the event, let me take a quote from Maddz Jorgenson, who beautifully gave the keynote address.  She spoke of her faith in God and proudly proclaimed that she was “…made on purpose for a purpose.”  What a beautiful sentiment from a magnificent young lady.

Thanks to this event, our many tremendous sponsors and the companies that donated to the silent and live auctions, and our attendees, GiGi’s Playhouse Des Moines will continue to provide more than 600 hours of progressive, purposeful and FREE programming each and every month!

Isn’t this the kind of place you want to support?
