Volunteer Spotlight

Meet Jenny Meade! In honor of National Volunteer Appreciation Week we would like to share a bit about our volunteer extraordinaire Jenny.

Jenny has been volunteering with GiGi’s Playhouse since September of 2016, and we couldn’t imagine GiGi’s without her! Jenny volunteers with the GiGi University Internship program, and she is also a GiGi’s Math and Literacy tutor.

When volunteers like Jenny generously give their time and expertise, we are able to turn belief in our children into real life achievement and acceptance! Our volunteers are dedicated to keeping our programs and services vibrant, purposeful, fun and free for our families! In return, our volunteers reap the benefit of making a huge impact on individuals with Down syndrome!

“I love seeing progress from my students. It’s great when you get to experience the joy and excitement from a learner when they master a skill you’ve been working on . Of course I love the hugs too, and my learners give great hugs. I love working with GiGi U mentor, Trinity, every Thursday. ”

Join us on our blog often because we will be featuring a different GiGi’s volunteer monthly!
