We tried GiGi’s At Home Live and On Demand Programs and WE LOVED IT!!!
In our household during this pandemic, there has been a guilty amount of screen time and a copious amount of Netflix and YouTube screening. Aidan likes to keep himself busy by watching videos having to do with Notre Dame or by playing sport video games. Both of which do not require a lot of physical activity or brainpower (unless someone’s beating him in his games, which is when he has to get his game face on).
However, we decided to try out GiGi’s Playhouse GiGiFit Live for teens and I think we found the perfect way to be active when we’re looking to get some energy out. Aidan really enjoyed this workout, as he is all things sports and loves to act like the Notre Dame basketball players. The workout was the perfect pace for him, allowing him to push himself and be active, but still allowing him breaks when needed. He enjoyed getting to see friendly faces and it was a great way for him and me to interact, as I helped show him exercises if needed. I think this workout was a great way for him to still feel included in something during this isolating time and I found this program to be very versatile, we could do this from anywhere, even his Notre Dame paraphernalia filled bedroom. I would really recommend one of the GiGiFit programs to any families who are looking for a way to stay active and to socialize with others.
Aidan and I also tried the on-demand Teen Tastic Spring Lesson. This helped get both of our brains going as we made May Day baskets together. The lesson was very easy to follow along and I enjoyed how interactive this program was, the teacher was very enthusiastic and started some good conversations between Aidan and I. Altogether, these programs were a great way to get both our body and our brains active. Aidan and I will continue trying out more programs and I’m so thankful for all of the volunteers that help run these programs. I will be sharing these programs with my school’s Best Buddies club to help everyone feel included and active during these unprecedented times!
