Best of All – Hunter

Hunter’s determination is unmatched. He has a natural gift for knowing exactly when to deliver the perfect sense of humor and when to lock in and focus on the task at hand. That balance, between fun and follow-through, is a skill that sets him apart and makes him such a standout in every program he joins.

And when we say every program, we really mean it. Since his teen years, Hunter has participated in Teen Tastic, Project Pulse Teen & Adult, Games with Friends, Fantastic Friends, Fantastic Friends Karaoke, and GiGiFIT. There truly isn’t a program he hasn’t tried. Watching his growth from a teen into the confident young adult he is today has been nothing short of inspiring.

One of our GiGiFIT volunteers, Jake, has seen this progress up close, sharing, “His form with all his exercises, planks and pushups especially, keeps improving, and his posture is improving as a result. He is much more flexible in our movement patterns, too!”

One of the most special things about Hunter is the way he connects with people. When he walks into a program, he greets new volunteers and friends with a firm handshake and a warm, “How are you?” For those he knows well, his greetings are personalized – each one reflecting the unique friendship he’s built. It’s these genuine connections that make Hunter such a powerful presence in our community. As volunteer Matt beautifully puts it, “His Best of All is being a friend to everyone, specifically making new people who join his GiGiFIT groups more comfortable. He does the same for Fantastic Friends, connecting with new friends right from the start.”

No matter the program, Hunter shows up fully. He approaches every task with attentiveness, openness, and authenticity, and allows his personality to shine through everything he does (even if that means cracking an inside joke or proudly adding the “cha-cha-cha” when singing ‘Happy Birthday’). He is often the common thread that weaves people together – bridging friendships, welcoming newcomers, and reminding all of us what true connection looks like.
