Celebrating Our Grand Prize Win at the Hall of Fame Parade!

We’re still beaming with pride from this year’s Pro Football Hall of Fame Parade! What an incredible morning filled with smiles, cheers, and community spirit. GiGi’s Playhouse Canton was honored to participate once again, but this time we had a float in the parade for the first year ever. Not only was it our first time with a float, but our display was recognized with the Grand Prize for Best Float among all the other amazing entries!

This special honor came with several exciting recognitions:

  • A Grand Prize Banner that we proudly displayed during the parade.
  • A beautiful trophy now on display at the Playhouse. We invite everyone to stop by, snap a photo, and celebrate this milestone with us!
  • A Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Congresswoman Emilia Sykes, acknowledging the creativity, dedication, and community support that brought our float to life.

This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity and hard work of our incredible partners and supporters. A heartfelt thank-you goes to:

  • ReliaRide, our Presenting Sponsor, whose leadership and support made our parade participation possible.
  • Innis Maggiore for their brilliant concept design, capturing the heart of GiGi’s Playhouse in a float worthy of the Grand Prize.
  • Lift Up Balloons & Designs for bringing color, energy, and joy to our float with their creative décor.
  • D2 Custom Construction for lending their expertise to help us build a float worthy of the Grand Prize.

Their support — and the dedication of our volunteers and families — truly made this experience one for the books.

But this win is bigger than one day, one float, or even one Playhouse. This recognition was a victory for GiGi’s Playhouses across our entire network and a powerful moment of visibility for the Down syndrome community as a whole. Every wave from one of the thousands of people along the parade route and every cheer from afar from those who watched the virtual live stream represented acceptance, inclusion and the incredible potential of individuals with Down syndrome.
