GiGi’s Playhouse Buffalo, had a whirlwind of a first year: our original grand opening on World Down Syndrome Day was postponed due to the pandemic, but after re-thinking the layout of our building and the delivery of our programs, we opened better than we imagined on August 1st. Since then, the impact on our community has been nothing short of amazing.

We are truly changing lives in Western New York.

In less than three months, we have launched seven programs focused on individuals of all ages. With over 450 program participation hours, we have served 125 families. And the community support has been phenomenal: since 2019 we have logged more than 1000 volunteer hours across all Playhouse needs.

The organization is 99% volunteer-run and all programs are 100% free to families. They are not free to deliver, however. With starting new programs for 2021 and our ongoing needs of training volunteers, purchasing program supplies, and maintaining our program space, your support is crucial to the sustainability of the Playhouse.

A donation of $50 will directly benefit people with Down syndrome in our community.

People like Sadie who “gets so excited when [asked] if she wants to go to GiGi’s. She claps her hands in excitement!!!!” Like Sara, who is the inspiration for our outdoor awareness mural. And Lerone, our assistant, who believes in himself, everyone else, and is the life of our programs.

Your financial support can make the difference Sadie, Sara, Lerone and more need to reach their next milestone.

Thank you so much for helping us change lives every day.
