What is special about GiGi’s Playhouse?

We happen to think GiGi’s Playhouse is all around pretty special! But here are ten of the many reasons GiGi’s Playhouse is Special:

1. Everything is FREE, including the parking!
2. We operate on two things: volunteers and donors.
3. We seek to serve the 1,000 families living in Atlanta with T21 and another 1,000 living in greater Georgia.
4. We provide therapy disguised as fun.
5. We make lifelong connections.
6. We encourage everyone to strive for his or her “best of all.”
7. We spread awareness and acceptance as “Generation G.”
8. We are one of 30 Playhouses across the US and Mexico, with 10 more on the way this year.
9. GiGi’s Playhouse Atlanta is not just for the kids; it is for everyone: our volunteers, our neighbors, our local teachers, therapist, teenagers, retired persons. The whole community plays a critical role.

What happens at GiGi’s Playhouse?

Babies receive “Formula 21” custom early intervention.

Tots get FREE therapy styled classes.

Students have access to FREE after school math and literacy tutoring.

Our teens participate in events and programs that focus on healthy living and, of courese, good old fashioned social fun.

Adults with T21 enjoy great nights out and togetherness.

Parents get support and advice for a child’s finance, education, medial, and emotional needs.

WE ARE A PLACE TO BELONG. And that makes us pretty special too.

What is next for GiGi’s Playhouse?

We are currently raising funds to grow our playhouse through:

• A new or renovated location. Our goal is to locate a location that is central to our population of families, and that will give us the opportunity to grow our Playhouse to better serve all of ourfamilies.
• The opening of GiGi’s U (university) to serve young adults
• A Hugs and Mugs Coffee shop that would be staffed by your GiGi’s U graduates!
