Family Perspective – Anjelica Kahn

Hello Everyone! 

It’s MaKenzie again with another family perspective on the day-to-day operations here at GiGi’s Playhouse in Tampa! Today I was able to sit down and speak with Angela Kahn to discuss the activities in which her daughter, Anjelica, participates.  Anjelica loves to attend the dancing and fitness classes provided at GiGi’s. Today she came in to partake in the Fun, Friends & Fitness class with Ms. Susan, however that is only the beginning of the list of programs she’s come to that get you MOVING such as fitness, fun and friends, as well as our line dancing, zumba and ballet classes. Anjelica’s favorite by far had to have been the ballet class because they had students from the Straz come in and help with the dancing. Then when the classes were finished, the participants in the program performed AT THE STRAZ!!  How amazing is that?!? Angela says that seeing her able to learn and perform the dance on an actual stage was her favorite part of the whole experience.  

Another thing they love about our Fun, Friends & Fitness, as well other dancing classes is that she can feel comfortable and go with the flow of the class. Coming to GiGi’s Playhouse has given their family and Anjelica something to look forward to in a cost-effective way. She also is able to meet other children with down-syndrome which provides her with not only social skills but also personal awareness. Friends, Fun & Fitness is made for all ages, fun for the whole family, and happens every week here at GiGi’s on Saturday starting at 1:00 pm! Want to join us?
