2026 Dash for Down Syndrome 5K

On May 17, 2026, more than 500 runners, walkers, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters gathered at Long Branch Park for our annual Dash for Down Syndrome 5K. The day was filled with energy, smiles, and a shared commitment to celebrating individuals with Down syndrome and supporting the mission of GiGi’s Playhouse Syracuse. The event surpassed our fundraising goal and we raised over $58,000.

Participants of all ages came together to run, walk, cheer, and celebrate acceptance for all. Families, friends, community partners, and teams proudly showed their support, creating an atmosphere of joy and inclusion throughout the park.

The event would not have been possible without the incredible dedication of our volunteers, generous sponsors, and everyone who participated. Every step taken and every cheer shared helps GiGi’s Playhouse Syracuse continue providing free educational, therapeutic, and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
