Love Our Team – Liz Webster

As mentioned in a post earlier today Liz Webster is a co-leader for our Teen Tastic & Fantastic Friends programs. She is just getting started in this role so many of our friends may not have met her yet! Here’s a good opportunity to learn more about her.

Liz works for UnityPoint Clinic and comes to us after doing some internet searching for volunteer opportunities.

When asked why she wanted to get involved and what she was looking forward to, she had the following to say:

“It’s important to me to give back to my community and have a positive influence on my community. I love to volunteer and I love sharing what I have to offer about myself with others who will benefit. I am looking forward to building positive relationships with the participants and families as well as other the volunteers. I hope to really get to know the teens and adults and provide them fun and meaningful programming!”

We asked her if she would encourage others to get involved with GiGi’s.

“Absolutely, yes!

Each time I spend time at GiGi’s, I am instantly filled with excitement, joy, love, and positivity! GiGi’s of the Quad Cities has created a beautiful community and I am happy to be a part of it.”

A fun fact about Liz is that she loves art of all kinds! She is currently learning glass blowing!

We bet glass blowing would be a great outing for our teens and adults. We’ll have to get that planned. Thank you, Liz, for being part of our team!
