Meet Our Summer Intern – Jade

If you’ve been at programs recently you may have already met Jade as she has been eager to get started with her marketing internship here at GiGi’s Playhouse Quad Cities. Jade is an Augustana College student and will be here with us until mid August. We asked Jade to provide a snippet about why she was interested in interning at GiGi’s but also a little about herself.

My name is Jade (JJ) and I will be helping GiGi’s with marketing this summer. I am not only looking forward to bettering my marketing skills for my future career but I am excited to establish strong connections with those at the playhouse. I wanted to intern at GiGi’s because I value their purpose and I want to take part in changing the way the world views Down syndrome. I wholeheartedly love what this achievement center is all about. I have attended a handful of programs so far and I enjoyed seeing those in the community join together to simply have fun, learn new skills, and enjoy each other’s presence! Being able to capture special moments during our activities and events brings me happiness. A picture lasts forever, a camera is a save button for the mind’s eye! Sharing these moments with the world is needed, and I am blessed to have this opportunity. One fun fact about me is that I love carne asada tacos, I could eat them every day for every meal.

It seems that Jade would get along great with a few of our board members that mentioned their love for tacos during our Love Our Team blog series earlier this year.

Please help welcome Jade to our Playhouse!

Stay tuned for an additional intrduction because we are lucky this summer and have 2 interns!
