CANCELED-Kid’s Club (8-12 yrs)

All programs will be suspended through April 7th. This includes canceling all group programming, one on one tutoring and Playhouse events. This decision was made to take precautionary measures in regards to the COVID-19 to ensure the health and safety of our participants, their families, volunteers and staff.

The theme will be family!

Kids Club is an interactive and engaging program for participants ages 8 through 12. We support the development of social skills and language through peer to peer inter­action in a casual and fun setting. This program may also support gross motor skills through active games, fine motor and self-help skills through meal/snack preparation and activities.

Kids Club supports the therapeutic-based development of individuals with Down syndrome, with goals of achieving the following:

• Increase social skills, focusing on group participation and increasing leisure activity options.
• Increase language development, focusing on vocabulary development, language comprehension and social communication with peers.
• Increase gross motor skills, focusing on general health, fitness (strength and balance), and utilizing motor skills to participate in educational, social, and leisure activities.

RSVPs are not required but are encouraged.
