Dance Me a Story: ages 3-5 years

Imaginations come to life as we read stories, turn on the music, grab a costume, and DANCE!

Implemented in 2014, Dance Me a Story; Exploring Literature through Ballet is a fun interactive dance program for people of all ages encouraging reading through the vehicle of dance. Dance Me a Story gives the participant a physical and imaginative way of interpreting what is read from a book and translating the words into creative movement.  In the process, participants are exposed to the fine arts, while working on motor skills, strength and balance, and just having fun!

The book that you’ll be dancing to is Giraffes Can’t Dance by Giles Andrede.
