CANCELED-Dance Me a Story (ages 10-13)

Imaginations come to life as we read stories, turn on the music, grab a costume, and DANCE!

Implemented in 2014, Dance Me a Story; Exploring Literature through Ballet is a fun interactive dance program for people of all ages encouraging reading through the vehicle of dance. Dance Me a Story gives the participant a physical and imaginative way of interpreting what is read from a book and translating the words into creative movement.  In the process, participants are exposed to the fine arts, while working on motor skills, strength and balance, and just having fun! The book that you’ll be dancing to is to be announced.

This program will be session-based and space is limited for this program so it is crucial that you RSVP/register to participate. Registering below signs you up for all 3 sessions and you are expected to attend each date. The deadline to register is September 25th at 12 pm. After that date, you will need to contact the staff at the Playhouse to see if space is still available.

If less than 3 participants register, the program may be canceled or rescheduled.
