“Gala is a blast”

Part two in the series of blog posts related to the upcoming Gala. Last week, you heard from Beth about how the Gala is a celebration. This week Brian, one of our board members is telling you “It’s a blast!” Brian has also been one of the featured speakers at the Gala in the past. He presented a moving speech about how GiGi’s has impacted his family.

How did you hear about GiGi’s Playhouse?

Through the social worker after our daughter was born

How long have you been participating in programming here at GiGi’s?

4 Years in April 2017

If you were to pick one thing to say about GiGi’s, what would be the #BestofAll you would like to share?

GiGi’s has given us a great avenue for information and networking with other parents.  GiGi’s has also helped us look beyond any stigma to see what our daughter can truly be.

Why is Gala important to you?

Great program, great raffles, great drinks, but above all else, it’s a great celebration of how Down syndrome has touched so many people in our communities.

Tell us about your family/friends/coworkers that will attend with you?

They have all been with my wife and I throughout our journey with Zoey.

Would you encourage others to attend?

Absolutely, Gala is a blast!

We hope you will join Brian and his family at the Gala this year!
