Why should you experience the “i have a Voice” gala at least once? It’s a revelation!

We were able to catch up with another 2017 first time gala attendee (actually a couple) to get their feedback.

Thank you, Chad and Susanna Johnson for sharing your experience with us and others!

How did you hear about GiGi’s Playhouse?

The information about GiGi’s was provide to us from our daughter’s home visiting nurse.

How long have you been participating in programming here at GiGi’s?

Six years.

If you were to pick one thing to say about GiGi’s, what would be the #BestofAll you would like to share?

The welcoming and caring nature of the staff and families at GiGi’s Playhouse. Everyone at GiGi’s is there to help and provide support for families like ours and they are always developing new programs and events to better our children.

Why is Gala important to you?

After our first experience at the 2017 Gala it was truly a revelation. Its amazing the amount of time and preparation that is involved to have such a production. We also appreciated the Gala and the impact it plays in continuing the services and programming of the playhouse. We see the importance to having a successful Gala and gaining the support of the local community as well as getting the Playhouse families involved with the event to participate and celebrate the successes of their children.

Tell us about your family/friends/coworkers that will attend with you?

Currently, we are just attending by ourselves.

Would you encourage others to attend?

Yes, I would recommend all families that haven’t gone to experience the event at least once. why? It’s a night not only to raise funds for a great organization, but is also a night to celebrate your child and their abilities and the opportunities that Playhouse can assist in their child’s future.

Anything additional that you would like to add?

GiGi’s Playhouse has had a positive impact on our outlook on the world of Down Syndrome. Nationally, GiGi’s Playhouse has educated others about the diagnosis and the endless capabilities these caring and loving individuals can provide. It has been a positive and encouraging experience on what the possibilities can be for our daughter’s future.

They may be attending by themselves but we know they will have a great time with all their GiGi’s friends, board members, and GiGi’s staff. Maybe you can join them at their table? Register by clicking here: gigisplayhouse.org/quadcities/gala
