Rockstar #1 – Meet Riley

As promised in our last blog, we’re here to highlight our spring 2024 GiGi Prep & Achievers participants. Every day for the next 9 days, we’ll introduce an individual. Plus, we’ll hear from the program leaders!

Today, we’d like you to meet Riley!

Riley is a funny young man who works at Steve’s Mirror and Glass.  Riley’s favorite GiGi’s Playhouse program is Coffee Club (Adult Group Speech), an adult conversation group that meets twice a month.

Riley is best at helping his mom and acting out movies. Some of his favorite movies include: Ghostbusters, Herbie and Scooby-Doo. Riley says his favorite lesson this session was when we learned how to take better pictures with our phone. Two fun facts about Riley are that he has a bearded dragon and two cats at home. He also likes Karaoke.

Riley worked hard this session at listening to directions and won the Fantastic Friend award.

P.S. We can’t thank RIley’s mom Deb enough for all her help while volunteering during this program as well as the Adult Group Speech Program. Some of you may recognize her…she was awarded one of the Volunteer of the Year awards at the 2023 GiGi’s Gala. They are both rockstars in our book!
