Play, Leisure, and Life Balance

 

 

Join us and our Occupational Therapy Intern for the upcoming special Family Speaker Series, a playful 2&U, and a night dedicated to our volunteers!

Who: Paige Blazina, an occupational therapy student and intern at GiGi’s Playhouse will be hosting two family speaker series sessions throughout her 14-week rotation.

What: The first family speaker series will also be on the importance of play and leisure for all ages. Including tips and tricks to make play fun yet purposeful. The second family speaker series for parents and caregivers will focus on the importance of life balance, leisure participation, stress relief, and well-being. There will be gift bags and the winner of the massage gift certificate will be announced, there will also be an opportunity to casually talk with other parents.

When:

March 18th (purposeful play for all ages)

April 8th (parent and caregiver stress relief and life balance)

Where:  The Family Speaker Series will be held in-person at GiGi’s Playhouse in Moline, IL, and virtually too due to the limited number of members allowed in the playhouse. You choose your choice of attendance method. Limited in-person RSVPs accepted.

 

Paige is also joining the March 13th 2&U Program!

She will be providing information on the importance of play and leisure and how to engage in purposeful play with the 2 & Under kiddos.

 

PLUS We have an exciting night planned for our volunteers on April 22nd.

Paige will facilitate a discussion with our volunteers around finding the balance between work, home, and volunteering too!
