Participant Spotlight: Troy Providenti

This week, we are thrilled to feature GiGi’s NYC longtime participant, Troy Providenti! Troy joined the GiGi’s NYC community back in 2012 when we first opened our doors, and he and his family have been actively involved ever since. Troy is incredibly talented and a regular attendee at our programs. We hope you enjoy learning more about Troy below.  

When did you join the GiGi’s NYC community? 

I joined the GiG’is NYC community in 2012. 

How old are you? 

I am 18 years old. 

What GiGi’s NYC programs do you attend? 

I attend Yoga, GiGiFIT, Judo, TeenTastic, TeenTastic Night Out, Rising Stars, and LitLab.  

What program(s) is your favorite / has been the most impactful to you? 

My favorite program is TeenTastic Night Out with Claire and Kyle. 

What does GiGi’s NYC mean to you? 

GiGi’s NYC to me is a place where I get to have fun with my friends and do a lot of cool things like have a dance party.  

What have you gained from our programs? 

I develop my leadership skills in GiGiFIT because sometimes I help lead the workout.  

What do you look forward to doing at the Playhouse once we can safely gather there again 

I am looking forward to having a six-feet-apart dance party! 

How do you enjoy spending your free time? 

I enjoy playing basketball with friends like John. 

What is one achievement that you are proud of? 

I am proud that I am going to college in the Fall. 

What do you want the GiGi’s NYC community to know? 

I want the GiG’s NYC community to know that I am a good and hard-working person.

What would you like to see from GiGi’s NYC in the future? Do you have any ideas for new programs or special events? 

I want GiGi’s NYC to make a GiGi’s band. I want us to go play sports. I want us to go to a concert together for a special event!

Troy, we are so proud of you! It has been such a privilege watching you grow since you first joined our community almost ten years ago. We will miss you when you head off to Syracuse University, but your friends at GiGi’s NYC cannot wait to come visit you and hear all about about college life.
