Participant Spotlight: Emmett

Meet longtime GiGi’s NYC participant, Emmett. Emmett has been part of our community for almost 10 years, since we opened our doors! Emmett attends our Summer Programs, LitLab, one-to-one tutoring and Community Chorus. He is funny, outgoing, and loves to sing! To learn more about him, read below:

When did you join the GiGi’s NYC community? I came to GiGi’s NYC when I was 2 and a half.

How old are you? I’m 12.

What does GiGi’s NYC mean to you? The thing I like best about GiGi’s NYC is the people.

What have you gained from our programs? I like tutoring because my tutors are the best. I like having one-on-one time reading with Robin.

How do you enjoy spending your free time? In my free time, my favorite things to do are eat and watch my favorite shows. My favorite show is The Voice. I like the singing.

What achievements are you most proud of? What achievements can you connect to skills you have learned at GiGi’s NYC? In LitLab I’m most proud when I do my presentations. My favorite presentation was talking about Pokemon.

Be sure to leave Emmett a shout out in the comments!
