GiGi’s Playhouse is the place to be for teens!

Attention parents of teens with Down syndrome:

Imagine a place where your t’weens and teenagers can go to be with their peers with no cliques, no judgment, no anxiety, but just a place where they can be themselves, have fun and make new friends. Sound good?

Then join GiGi’s Playhouse NYC each Saturday afternoon at 3pm for Playhouse Pals and the third Friday of each month for Teentastic.  Your kids will learn, grow and socialize through group events, dance parties, games and so much more.  It’s a time for them to be with their friends and experience the excitement of being in their teens.  Not only are these programs amazing for our kids, but as Teentastic is a fully supervised “drop off program”, parents and/or caregivers can convene at local restaurants and too make new friends, share stories and struggles, give or receive advise or just plain relax, have fun and enjoy 2 hours to themselves.

At our house, GiGi’s Playhouse is a huge part of our weekend schedule for all our kids!  My son Troy has attended Playhouse Pals on Saturdays for years, and w The team at GiGi’s, which includes participants, staff and volunteers,  have become our extended family.  So come to GiGi’s Playhouse NYC, mark your calendars and see the magic  for yourself.

Is this still happening? I live in the hudson valley and have a daughter, age 14, with Down Syndrome. She is interested in connecting with peers, especially making new girlfriends and fining a theater arts club. There is no DS community in our town and we are seeking resources.
    Thank you.
