It’s time to be thankful this Thanksgiving !

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone at GiGi’s NYC!

There are a lot of special holidays celebrated in November. For example, National Nacho Day, Election Day, National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day, Veterans Day, and Thanksgiving are just some days to celebrate with your loved ones this month.

National Nacho Day was celebrated on Monday, November 6th this year, and a lot of people celebrate the occasion by going to the movie theaters and eating some delicious nachos and even popcorn. Some people also like to have their nachos at home either by making it themselves or ordering takeout.

Election Day was celebrated on Tuesday, November 7th, and a lot of people go to vote to select public officials from local to national government. I hope everyone from GiGi’s NYC voted on this day.

National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day was celebrated on Thursday, November 9th, and people enjoy having this food for dinner. This is a day to celebrate the experience of eating a delicious meal combined with the tenderness of chicken meat and the crispy texture of the fried batter wrapped in a buttery warm roll with mayo and pickles. You can make this sandwich yourself or buy one, and you can enjoy it by yourself or with loved ones. One of my favorite things to order at KFC is the fried chicken sandwich with a side of mashed potatoes and mac and cheese.

Veterans Day was on Saturday, November 11th, and a lot of people visit a veterans’ hospital on this day. Others celebrate the occasion by flying a flag, writing a thank you letter to a veteran, donating to an organization that supports veterans, and calling the veterans that you know. On this day we also honor all the people who have passed away from being in the military.

Thanksgiving is celebrated on Thursday, November 23rd, this year, and a lot of people get together with their family or go out for a family dinner. There’s a lot to be thankful for. On Thanksgiving this year I’m thankful that I’m healthy. I’m also thankful for my grandparents Pop Pop and Maureen, eating extra turkey, having my Greek boyfriend Peter in my life, my mother and father, having Laura as my helper to work with, and most importantly my grandmother Katherine who is in heaven. I am thankful for all the memories I have of her. I am also thankful for GiGi’s NYC. I am thankful that I live in a house and also for having good friends that live in Canada. Their names are Aldo, Dolores, Christina, Daniella, and Annalisa.

Before I go, and until December, I really want to share a Chinese restaurant review for Baybridge Szechuan in Bayside, New York. I have been going here for lunch because it has great options to order from the lunch menu. When I go there I always get wonton egg drop soup and an egg roll to start. Then I get chicken and broccoli with fried rice. Sometimes I order shrimp lo mein. I also like the sesame chicken with fried rice. I hope you all try this restaurant. It’s really good.

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy Thanksgiving with your loved ones.

Peace and love to you all always.

Love,

Fatima
