Dancing for Down syndrome

I’m the mother of a child with Down syndrome.  I remember the days when I  thought that meant my life was pretty much over.  I imagined long days of pity and ostracism.  What I’ve discovered is a beautiful child, a  welcoming community, and a compelling sense of purpose. This was the gift of GiGi’s Playhouse, a community center where families like mine meet and connect, where kids like mine learn and grow, and where we get to change the world for the better.

Dancing for Down Syndrome is an advocacy and fundraising initiative that invites families and friends of our community to be champions for the future of all children with Down syndrome. Everyone can help spread the word about the bright future in store for the Down syndrome community!

it’s as easy as 1-2-3:

1. Set up a personal fundraising page, make a general donation or sponsor a dancer.

2. Email your page link to everyone with a big heart. Spread the word. Invite friends to donate.

3. Show up on June 14th and Dance till you drop!

Please join us in celebrating our special families, our amazing community and making the world a better place for us all!
