A New Beginning

IMG_4701

The beginning of August marked two and a half years that I’ve worked at GiGi’s Playhouse NYC. What a wonderful, jam-packed two and a half years it’s been!

I’ve learned from and been supported by our families, volunteers, friends in the community, fellow Site Coordinators and staff at other Playhouses. I’ve had the privilege to be a part of many families’ journeys, whether from pre-natal diagnosis to toddlerhood or early high-school to graduation. I’ve seen young people grow up and develop as people. Thank you for making me welcome here! Thank you for including me in this wonderful community.

I am leaving to pursue a long-held dream to start a fashion and design business, but I will always be a friend and supporter of GiGi’s Playhouse NYC. See you at the parties! 😉

Much Love,

Nina

Hi everyone! I am Jasmine Ferrer and you may have seen me in the Playhouse as a literacy volunteer or a mentor during the Summer Clubhouse and Adventures this past summer.

I am excited to take on a new adventure at GiGi’s Playhouse as the new Interim Site Coordinator!

My passion for the special needs community is deeply rooted in having an older brother who has autism and cerebral palsy. My time thus far at the Playhouse has exposed me to the wonderful families, motivated volunteers, and supportive friends that have taught me more about the Down Syndrome community than a college textbook ever has. I know Nina will be greatly missed and simply irreplaceable but I hope to make my own impact at the Playhouse.

I look forward to meeting you all soon!

Jasmine
