GiGi’s Playhouse New Orleans celebrated our GiGiFIT ACCEPTANCE Challenge and Crawfish Boil at Faubourg Brewery on Saturday, May 20. Participant, Julia DiRe, kicked off the event by singing the national anthem. Our Volunteer TEAM Leader, Shannon Pilgrim, lead us in the GiGiFIT Stretch Session, followed by the Kids Dash for Down syndrome. Da Truth Brass Band and participant Nathan Leathers lead us in the Second Line Celebration for ACCEPTANCE!

 The Louisiana Seafood Marketing Board donated 400lbs of crawfish, Sal’s Riverside Seafood took care of all the boilin’, DJ Darryl from D2 Entertainment kept the energy high, and Adam Relayson captured the memories for us. We are grateful for the Faubourg Brewery Team for allowing us to use the Faubourg Beer Garden.  Just over 100 volunteers and supporters gathered for our GiGi’s Playhouse New Orleans Down syndrome ACCEPTANCE challenge supporting our mission to change the way the world views Down syndrome and to send a global message of ACCEPTANCE for all!
