On May 18, 2024, we celebrated our GiGiFIT Acceptance Challenge, a physical and social movement dedicated to promoting ACCEPTANCE. The event was truly inspiring, with participant and self-advocate Julia singing the national anthem and leading the event. GiGi’s participant Eliana led us in the Pledge of Allegiance, while volunteers Shannon and Stephen (self-advocate) guided us through a GiGiFIT Stretch Session and physical challenge to commemorate our Playhouse milestones. Together, we celebrated our achievements and created a ripple effect of ACCEPTANCE!

In collaboration with the American Legion Post 350, Metairie Food Truck Fest, we raised much-needed funds thanks to generous donations for crawfish from our surrounding community. The crawfish was donated by Louisiana Seafood and perfectly boiled by Sal’s Riverside Seafood. We are deeply grateful for our community and supporters for helping to sustain our FREE educational and therapeutic programs.
