Health Aging & Alzheimer’s Disease in the Down Syndrome Community

GiGi’s Playhouse MKE hosted a FREE Health Aging & Alzheimer’s Disease in the DS Community (virtual) presentation event on Feb. 21st. The event was led by Dr. Sigan Hartley and Dr. Brad Christian from the Waisman Center at UW-Madison to address the significant impact that Alzheimer’s Disease has and continues to have on our DS community. Topics covered included current research on Alzheimer’s within the DS community, healthy lifestyle habits to help with memory care and information on the latest Alzheimer’s medications on the market.
