Art Explosion
Seeking 2 program assistants
2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 5:30 - 7 PM
- Art Explosion provides a hands-on experience with multiple art platforms and provides an outlet for individuals with Down syndrome to express themselves, build confidence and socialize with peers. Ages 12+.
Backpack Buddies
Seeking 1 program lead and 1 program assistant
Every Thursday in June from 9 - 10 AM
- Focuses on a lesson including literacy and math components in a group setting, each lesson will explore two subjects in which participants have fun while learning. Recommended for participants at or below a 2nd grade reading level.
Bike Clinic
Seeking 2 program lead and 4 program assistants
Monday through Friday during the last week of July from 6 - 7 PM spanning from July 24th – 28th
- Join us for our week-long clinic that focuses on teaching the foundation skills needed to learn how to ride a bike. We use Strider Balance Bikes for this program.
Destination Discovery
Seeking 1 program lead and 1 program assistant
4th Saturday of the month from 9:30 - 11 AM
- Destination Discovery supports the development of fine motor skills, gross motor skills, social skills and language through purposeful play and peer to peer interaction in a casual and fun setting. This program also brings families together to share experiences and build relationships. Recommended for all ages.
EPIC
Seeking 1 program lead and 2 program assistants
Wednesdays from 10:30 AM - 3:30 PM
- EPIC provides opportunities for socialization and community involvement, while creating a fun and memorable experience for its participants. Participants work on vocational, communication, and social skills to boost confidence and encourage independence through goal-oriented objectives. Ages 18+.
Fantastic Friends
Seeking 2 program assistants
2nd Friday of the month from 6-8 PM
- A fun purposeful & social gathering for adults with Down syndrome, their peers and the community. Supports the development of social skills and language through peer-to-peer interaction in a casual and fun setting. Recommended for Adults 18+.
GiGi's Kitchen Adult

- GiGi's Kitchen is designed to emphasize the importance of health and wellness through nutrition education, kitchen safety, food preparation, social activities, and a shared meal/snack. Adults 18+.
GiGi's Kitchen Teen

GiGiFIT Toddler

Thursdays from 10:15 - 11 AM starting on Jan. 26
- GiGiFIT Toddler includes foundational, vestibular and targeted mobility movements, reflex integration and control. We have taken these movements and concepts to the next level in a fast-paced, super fun and socially interactive atmosphere for young children who have recently mastered the ability to walk on their own. Recommended for walking to 4-year-olds.
LMNOP

- Language Music N' Our Peeps (LMNOP) is an interactive and engaging program designed to guide parents and young children through learning basic sign language and other forms of communication while using music and language-based activities. Recommended for ages pre-natal to 36 months
SMART
Seeking 1 program lead and 1 program assistant
3rd Friday of the month from 6 - 8 PM
- SMART provides social interaction opportunities for participants ages 18+ to meet new friends, learn new skills and have lots of FUN! The rotating location in the community allows for learning through activities with peer interaction.
Teen Tastic
Seeking 1 program lead and 1 program assistant
1st Thursday of the month from 6-7 PM
- Focuses on building social skills with friends with and without Down syndrome by participating in team-based activities in a casual and fun setting. Skill development includes understanding compromise, turn-taking and problem-solving abilities.
Theater
Seeking 1 program lead and 2 program assistant
Time TBD – Summer 2023
- Join us for Semester 5 of People Like Us Theater! People Like Us is an organization that teaches communities to establish their own sustaining theater program for individuals with disabilities. Open to all friends of all abilities. We will learn about acting, singing, and dancing, but acquire many more lifelong skills along the way. Ages 8+.
Summer Adventure Series (ages 8-16)
Art
Seeking 1 program lead and 1 program assistant
Week of June 5th from 10 AM – 12 PM (no program on Wednesday)
- Spend the week exploring the essentials of different art mediums and techniques. This Art Adventure Series will include drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media, with an end of the week art exhibit for the artists to show off their work.
Mad Science
Seeking 1 program lead and 1 program assistant
Week of June 12th from 10 AM – 12 PM (no program on Wednesday)
- Learning doesn’t have to end when school is out! Bring your junior scientists to this fun series where we will embark on a series of science adventures, make a mess and learn a little while we’re at it! Each day will include 3-4 different experiments including chemistry, spy science, rocket science and more!
Baking
Seeking 1 program lead and 1 program assistant
Week of June 19th from 10 AM – 12 PM (no program on Wednesday)
- Cookies, Muffins, Cakes, OH MY! During this series we will learn a variety of culinary skills, all centered around baking. We will open our doors for your little chef to invite 1 friend to a tasting party at the end of the week. We are looking forward to a sweet week! (Gluten Free)
