The Impact of Volunteering

GiGi’s Playhouse not only creates a space for our participants but also a sense of community. At the heart of it all, our volunteers! They are the ones who make it all happen, creating meaningful connections with our participants, always providing valuable ideas, and committing their time to the mission of acceptance for all.

Last month at our annual leadership conference, our playhouse had the opportunity to recognize one of our dedicated volunteers and mom, Sally. Sally has been with GiGi’s for over 7 years and dedicated over 5,000 volunteer hours! Her son Daniel had gone through our GiGi Career programs, which is where she got involved with our Hugs and Mugs café. She donates her time in the café, guiding participants through certifications, being a friendly face, and always willing to be a helping hand.

We thank you Sally for all you do to support us, we would not be here without you!
