Together We Can Do Great Things!

Gina is a senior in the Social Work program at Aurora University. She is recently making the transition from interning at GiGi’s Playhouse Fox Valley to our Hoffman Estates location!

Gina chose GiGi’s Playhouse because she thought the overall goal and purpose was absolutely amazing. She has always wanted to be a part of something bigger than herself or her community. GiGi’s offers programs, education, resources and fun to people all around the country and even beyond. Gina wants to make a difference in people’s lives through her experience and education in the social work field. She believes that it is very important to advocate for all different people and it’s also very important to embrace our differences and empower each other to be the best we can be. Gina hopes to continue her experience here as an intern at GiGi’s by expanding her knowledge and learning how she can help all participants become the best version of themselves and to most importantly, enjoy the process!

Gina is unsure what the future holds for her, but all her life she has wanted to work with individuals who have developmental disabilities or mental health disorders as well as with their families. One day, Gina hopes to have her own private practice in counseling for individuals and families. For now, she is so excited to work with all of the families and participants who take part in GiGi’s Playhouse! Gina can’t wait to impact others through her work at GiGi’s Playhouse and to see how others will impact her on my journey as well.
