World Down Syndrome Day!

Today is the day! The day when the world recognizes and celebrates Down syndrome, and March 21 represents 321, or the triplicate of the 21st chromosome, and we all know that extra chromosomes means extra AMAZING!

Individuals with Down syndrome are just like everyone else, and finding that common ground to connect with them makes all the difference. They have SO much and to offer and are worth celebrating every day of the year, but today is the day we can do something a little extra.

Here are a few ways you can celebrate!

  • Wear crazy, mismatched socks (socks resemble chromosomes)
  • Perform a random act of kindness
  • Read a book about Down syndrome
  • Talk about Down syndrome at school or work
  • Stop by GiGi’s Playhouse for our Open House Celebration from 3-6 pm!

We will have lots of fun activities throughout the afternoon including awesome raffle prizes, mini therapy horses, therapy dogs, snacks, decorating socks, karaoke, free gelato, mini programs every hour, story times, and a special surprise at 3:21 pm! We would love to see everyone come by for this memorable event to celebrate the best day of the year!
