GiGi Fest 2022

Last Sunday the National Playhouse hosted their 19th annual GiGi Fest for everyone to stop by for some popcorn, pony rides, fun, and games! There was something for the whole family to enjoy! Everyone had a smile on their face and a craft to take home. We were so grateful for nice weather and everyone there made our GiGi Fest one of a kind. The mayor from Hoffman Estates was able to join in on the celebration and presented a proclamation all for supporting GiGi’s Playhouse as well as those individuals with Down syndrome. The Mayor proclaimed October as Down syndrome Awareness Month and urges the community to stand together and invite individuals with Down syndrome into your life. Thank you William McLeod for your kind words and support in our neighborhood.

At GiGi Fest we have a Best Of All walk down a red carpet for children to adults that come into our playhouse, create memories, and surpass milestones. We celebrate them and their accomplishments with a shoutout and allow them to strut and dance down the red carpet. From first steps to learning new skills at a job, these people need a round of applause! We are so honored to have so many of our individuals achieve their goals and make a positive impact in our playhouse. We love to celebrate everyone and every milestone. We can not wait to see what next year holds for them!

Mark your calendars for next year for our 20th annual GiGi Fest for October 2023! Whether your volunteering or want to learn more about GiGi’s Playhouse, GiGi Fest is the place to be! We can’t wait to see and celebrate you! Who knows what we will have in store for such an incredible celebration. Only one way to find out and that is to stop on by next year and see for yourself the magic in celebrating an amazing foundation!
