Mariner Employees Set Sail for GiGi’s!

Mariner is a wealth planning and management company that applies an integrated approach to wealth management that helps simplify their clients’ lives.

But that’s not why GiGi’s Playhouse loves them. We love them because of what Mariner does to enrich the lives of our participants. They provided great corporate support of our March Gala and some of their employees were in attendance, all dressed up for the “We’re Going to Prom” theme. But Bobby Anderson and the crew he recruited proved to us that they know how to roll up their sleeves and get to work, too!

We know because a team from Mariner spent three hours at the Playhouse last week and we put them to work. Their To-Do List included going through the GiGi’s Kitchen to throw away all the expired food, to change the lights bulbs that required using a ladder, sorting through and hanging up the many costumes that were previously stored in assorted tubs, and other back-burner jobs that no staff member or volunteer ever seem to get around to.

And, if that wasn’t enough, the Mariner team brought a check for $2500 for GiGi’s Playhouse! We learned Mariner has offices all over the country and that employee groups were encouraged to go into their communities and volunteer for causes important to them. It is called the Mariner + Impact Day, and we are so thankful that the Des Moines office chose us this year!

We love companies like Mariner that make giving back such a priority. It’s good business and even better for their communities!
